Idukki - Hill Station of Kerala

Hill View Park

The spectacular view of the dam and green mountains from Hill View Park is a special spot here. This park serves as a famous tourist spot in the region. People can enjoy the diverse wildlife at this belt's natural habitat place. Hill View Park is just 23 km away from Idukki and placed as 1 spot of attraction.

Gavi

35 km away from central place spotted as 2nd destination of Idukki. Once you reach Gavi you can also visit Periya tiger reserve that is just 14 km distant. This Indian tourist place is the heaven on earth listed best as quite a spot of the world. 

Arch Dam

Kulamavu Dam

Trekking to dense jungle and the steep hill is possible here. However, the Kulamavu dam is 30 km away from the city center and it is famous for hiking and trekking. The enchanting surroundings give this place a 5th tourist destination of Idukki. The dam is beautiful as well and view to valley from top is an amazing experience for visitors.

Thommankuthu Falls

The waterfall at 17 km distance from Thodupuzha lays is 6th tourism place of Idukki popular for captivating Falls that is the 7-step waterfall. Best for trekking and rock climbing also famous for other activities like boating, horse riding, and fishing.

Nadukani

Another hill station of the Idukki region at 25 km distance offers a bewitching view of hills. Muvattuphuza river is a unique place here covered with the scenic surrounding. Nadukani is the place where three rivers of Kerala meet and you can enjoy diverse fauna here as well.

Anakkara

14 km distance from the city center placed as 8th position for travelers. It is actually a small town spread in 50 sq. km area though you have to travel through Kumily and Munnar state highway. Anakkara is famous for spice plantations and amazing waterfalls.  

Periyar National Park

KSRTC (Kerala State Road Transport Corporation operates 8 units of bus services for Idukki. The best part of the road journey to the spot is you will get a beautiful landscape during the journey.

 By Train: Theni is the closest railway station at 83 km distance properly linked with a rich rail network of the major cities such as Kodaikanal, Chennai, Palani, Banglore, etc.
