According to the forest department, the designated hours for jungle safaris are from 6:30 AM to 11 AM in the morning, with additional slots available in the evening from 15:30 to 17:00. For those seeking an extended adventure, there is a full-day package that spans from 6:30 AM to 5 PM, offering a few extra hours to immerse oneself in the wilderness.
It's crucial to note that the park remains closed from June 16 to September 30, adhering to the plans of the forest administration. During the rest of the months, the park is open, allowing visitors to plan their trips accordingly. The prominence of this location dates back to 1857 when British Officer J. Forsyth stumbled upon it while in pursuit of the eminent freedom fighter Tanya Tope. The accidental discovery led him to recognize Satpura as a suitable site for a military base.

Denwa River
The vital river that sustains life in the Satpura jungle originates in the southeast region of Hoshangabad and flows from east to west. Converging at Raipur, it joins the Tawa River.
