Pune

Pune is well-known 8th biggest city of India positioned in the state Maharashtra.  Mula and Mutha are two famous rivers of Pune. This administrative capital of city is developed place and offering various services in IT sector and many other departments. 

This existed town was founded in 937 ADs. Its earlier name was Punawadi, but changed to Pune in 1730. Ganesh Temple (also known as Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Temple): this oldest temple of Pune is situated in Central area of the state. This shrine was founded by Halwai Dagdusheth in 1893. Reaching this temple will allow visitors to enjoy the Shaniwar Wada Fort, which is another tourist spot of Pune.

Shaniwar Wada: this fort was destroyed largely in 1828, though the structure is redesigned and managed by the government for tourist visits. This Peshwa ruler's fort is designed in proper maratha architectural style.

Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum: the collection produced by Dr Dinkar G. Kelkar is special thing to watch in the museum. The collection was committed to the memory of his son, Raja as he died tragically.

Mahatma Phule Museum: located in the center part of the Pune city was founded in 1875. Earlier, its name was the Poona Industrial Museum, but renamed to Mahatma Phule Museum in 1968.

Chaturshringi Temple: This shrine is the Hindu temple located on the hill's slope on Senapati Bapat Road.

Parvati Temple: the hill named over Hindu Goddess Parvati is another spot having a shrine for Hindu devotees. The height of the temple is 2,100 feet from the sea level. This temple was constructed by the Peshwa Dynasty rulers. The scenery sight of the city from the hill is must be watching spot.

Sinhgad: the fort also known as Sinhagad and Sinhgarh is next tourist spot added to the list of Pune sightseeing’s.

Khadakwasla Dam: this dam is constructed at good distance of 20 kms from the City. Pune city is getting the water supply from this dam. Khadakwasla dam was constructed in 1879.

Pataleshwar Cave Temple: This world-known Cave Temple of Pune was impressed out in the eighth century. Originally, this temple is situated outside of the city Pune.

Shinde Chatri Monument: a monument tourist spot of Pune is located in Wanowrie. This best Indian tourist place is allowing a tourist to learn about the history of Peshwah empire.

Tulsi Baug: shopping at Pune should not be missed by a tourist. This most crowded market of Pune is famous for ladies and gent's shopping.

By Air: PIA (Pune international airport) situated at Lohe Gaon is allowing a world tourist to reach the destination with no worries. However, the airport authority of Pune is sharing the runways with the Indian Air Force. Direct flights to Dubai and some other big countries make the Pune easy reachable destination of India.

By Rail: the large railway network of Pune is connecting the city with countless big cities of India. Local trains are also available with service, which is another major source of transport in the city.
