The big idol of Shree Mahavira is best thing to watch, though travelers have to maintain the timings from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm to visit the temple.

Madurantakam: the place accepted for Aeri Katha Ramar Koil which is 1300 years aged shrine. Temple is positioned on Villupuram - Chengalpet road at only expanse of 90 kms from Chennai central. ARB (Agricultural Reservoir Bund) is another tourist spot near Koil temple.

AAZP (Arignar Anna Zoological Park): The zoo named as Arignar Anna Park is next location situated at Vandalore. Travelers have to travel for 5 kms from Kanchipuram city to reach zoo.

Chennai station is just 72 kms away from Kanchipuram, though other major cities like Bangalore (277 kms), Hyderabad (639 kms), Pune (1050 kms), and Nagpur (1149 kms) are also having direct trains and various transport methods to reach Kanchipuram in lesser time.
               
By Train: Kanchipuram railway station is linked to several big stations of Chennai like Pondicherry, Madurai and Nagaercoil. Train could be little difficult for voyagers as limited trains are available for Kanchi. Katpadi station is close Kanchipuram so voyagers can plan trip for Katpadi station from other parts of India.

By Air: closest air hub is CIA (Chennai International airport) linked through domestic and international flights. Distance of air hub from Kanchi is only 75 kms and prepaid taxies are available from airport to destination.

By Road: many tourism organizations are having packages for Kanchi. Buses from Chennai and Bangalore are available at reasonable cost.

Vaishno Devi
