Sirohi - Holy Place of Rajasthan

There are five Administrative Divisions (Tehsils) in Sirohi region known as Abu Road, Reodar, Sheoganj, Sirohi itself and Pindwara. Geography:
City is located at altitude of 321 meters from the sea level.

History:
Founder of Sirohi was Rao Sobhaji and year of foundation was 1405. However, the town was named as Shivpuri in its ancient period. Later in 1425 the town was reunited and redeveloped by son of Rao named as Sehastramal. According to present data the average population of Sirohi was 851107 in 2012.



Tourist attractions in Sirohi:
Ajari: A place of worship is first place to visit in the city. Ajari is the village placed at 5 km distance from Pindwara (another tourist attraction of Rajasthan). Ajari area is mostly covered with hillocks. Here you will find small stream flowing closer the village. People believe the stream is having honeycombs and it can heal skin infections. Lord Mahadev temple is special place to visit in Ajari.



Shri Tiwari Tirth: Next spot is holy as well known as Shri Tiwari Tirth. This place is dedicated to Adinath Bhagwan of Jain community.



Shri Zadoli Tirth: white-colored statue of Lord Adishvar is special thing of this holy place. Administration part of temple is managed by SAJSPT (Shri Adishvar Jain Shwetambar Pedhi Trust).

Sirohi Tirth: famous Jain temple of Bhagwan Parshvanath is next location for travelers. This teerth is also recognized as Godiji Parshvanath managed by SSPSJT (Shri Sirohiya (Godiji) Parshvanath Shwetambar Jain Tirth) Trust.



Vatera Teerth: If you believe in Teerth (holy destinations) then visit Vatera of Sirohi. The idol of Shantinath Swami is placed in the temple. It is ancient temple constructed in 12th century.

Mount AbuMount Abu hill station in Rajasthan state is positioned at distance of 180 Kms from famous city of Rajasthan “Jodhpur” and 509 kilometers from capital “Jaipur”. Mount Abu is becoming the favorite place for many people as it a famous pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Jain and nowadays countless people are reaching at this pilgrims place. If you are coming from Ahmadabad to reach Sirohi then you have to cover the distance of 253 km, though Jaipur 396 km far, Delhi is 674 km away, Pune is 868 km distant and Bangalore 1895 km away from Sirohi.

By Train: 9 railway stations are available in Sirohi region and Sirohi railway station is major junction among them. Trains for Sirohi are available from Chennai, Ranakpur, Jodhpur, AjmerMumbaiHaridwarAhmadabadBikanerJaipurMysore and many other cities of India.

By Air: closest big airport for Sirohi is Udaipur located at 110 km distance. Domestic flights are available for this airport from almost every corner of the nation because Udaipur is major tourist destination and people are regularly reaching here. Frequent flights are accessible from DelhiHyderabadJaipurJodhpur and Mumbai for Udaipur.
