One of the towns in the Guntur district serves as a convenient point to access Ethipothala, located just 12 kilometers away. It's situated along the Nagarjuna Sagar route, and you can easily hire a taxi or use a private vehicle for transportation. Near the waterfall, there is a park that also serves as an excellent viewpoint. This destination is relatively less known, ensuring a crowd-free experience. However, it's essential to plan for a day trip only, as there are no overnight stay options in the vicinity due to the surrounding core jungle. The park entrance fee is 30 Rs. for adults and 20 Rs. for children.

Given that Ethipothala is a natural waterfall, you should expect limited facilities. One notable aspect of this destination is the presence of crocodiles in the area, which adds an element of adventure and danger. When visiting the waterfall, exercise caution and take all necessary safety precautions. Some areas may have strong water currents, and it's important to note that there are no specific safety features in place.

Monkeys can also be a potential challenge for visitors. Near the steps leading to the waterfall, there's a designated area where you can take a bath or perform a pooja. However, if you have any food items with you, it's crucial to keep them secure and hidden in your bag, as the monkeys in the area can be aggressive and may try to take your food, making it difficult to eat there.

There are designated points where you can cook and savor your meals, although the presence of monkeys can pose a challenge in these areas. Many people visit from afar to perform pooja rituals in this serene setting. Additionally, there are notable attractions such as a cave and an ancient temple at this location.

Enjoying the beauty of the waterfall in the heart of the jungle is a wonderful experience, but it's essential to prioritize safety by taking all necessary precautions. Opting for a road trip is advisable as it ensures easier access to the destination and allows for a timely return. If you decide to stay at Haritha Resort or other Telangana tourism accommodations, you may receive complimentary entry to the park; however, keep in mind that transportation can be challenging.

We personally traveled to the destination on our bikes from Hyderabad, which took approximately 5 hours and cost around 1000 Rs. for the round trip considering current petrol charges. It's a great plan to celebrate the New Year in the midst of this pristine jungle setting.
