Gujarat is world-famous state of India serving various tourist places of India to global tourists. The land area of Gujarat is 196,030 kms and its coastline is 1,600 km. The major part lies in Kathiawar cape where the gross population is more than 60 million. British East India Company established factory in 1614 in Surat. It was the first base of British company in India. Though Surat faced lots of troubles from 1614 to 1679 as British Empire ruled badly in Surat and Portugal’s entered in Bombay and Surat in 1668. The Hindu King Chatrapati Shivaji attacked Surat from 1664 to 1679. He looted the city three times during this period and got countless money from the city. This was the entry of Marathas in Gujarat which was continued on regular periods. In 18th century Gujarat was completely ruled by Marathas which changed the politics of the state from other regions of India.

The big personalities and leaders such as Mohanlal Pandya, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Morarji Desai, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (Father of Nation), Narhari Parikh, K.M. Munshi, Ravi Shankar Vyas, Mahadev Desai, Bhulabhai Desai, and Mohanlal Pandya all are from Gujarat which means this big state played the vital role in revolution and independence of India.

Majuli - Largest River Island of India

A small island of Assam known as Majuli is our next Indian tourist place. The other name of this island town is Majoli popular as one of the largest river islands of India. Vaishno Devi

Temple is the world-famous holy place for Hindus. This temple is devoted to Maa Shakti, situated in the mounts of Jammu and Kashmir . Vaishno Devi Mata is also recognized as Mata Rani and Vaishnavi.
