Gandhinagar City is named after Mahatma Gandhi and founded in 1965. City was declared as capital of Gujarat in 1971 after the complete construction done by expert architects who built the city Chandigarh.

Attraction in Gandhinagar:
Adalaj: the first key spot for voyagers is Adalaj ni Vav. Spot is only 18 kms away from Gandhinagar city center. Queen Ruda Bai built Adalaj spot in 1499 and its structural design was done after long research of Queen Ruda Bai.


Sabarmati Ashram: everybody knows Shri Mahatma Gandhi the father of nation India. He started the historic 'Satyagraha Andolan’ from Sabarmati Ashram. In early ages, the Ashram was recognized as Kocharab Bungalow. Mahatma Gandhi stayed for 18 years in this house from 1915-1933. He began the Satyagraha from this house, which becomes the big reason for India’s freedom.


Indroda Nature Park: a park with entry fee is available in Gandhinagar. Park is recognized as INP (Indroda Nature Park) also identified as IDFP (Indroda Dinosaur and Fossil Park). This garden area is the part of Sarita Udhyan located in popular Indroda village. Voyagers can watch species such as deer, porcupine, hare, wild boar and numerous other animals.


Akshardham Temple: the most attracting and impressive temple Akshardham is available for voyagers. It is also recognized as Swaminarayan shrine located at only gap of 2 kms from Gandhinagar city center. Construction of shrine was completed by BAPS (Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha) and founder of firm was Shastriji Maharaj.


Gujarat Science City: this paid entry place is next tourist destination of Gandhinagar. Constructed by State Government of Gujarat for encouraging science to common people.


Lord Swaminarayan: A shrine of Shirdi Sai Baba and temple of Swaminarayan both are located in the same area. The Tithal beach close to these temples is third tourist place in one location. Voyagers can take pleasure of all 3 places and can take blessings of Shridi Sai baba and Swaminarayan. However, beach is 4 kms away from Sirdi Sai Baba temple.


Hanumanji Temple: Gujarat is the historical as well as religious place where countless temples are available. Hanuman Shrine is one of the holy places having idol made of saffron color.

Vaishno Devi
