Kausani is the best destination for a panoramic view of Himalaya peaks. Trishul, Naina Ghunti and Panchakuli are the main green hills of the region. Himalaya peaks are covered with white snow and because of that it becomes gold in the morning due to sunlight and becomes orange at sunset. The best period to reach town is the summer period, though Jan to April is the top demanding period and maximum travelers visit the place at this duration. September to October is also a good duration for Kausani. Once you are in the place you should spend at least 2 days here. The temperature is between 15 to 27 degrees in summer. As per sources, Mahatma Gandhi visited this place twice in his lifetime. After his first visit, Mr. Gandhi named this place as Switzerland of India that is because of its surrounding beauty.

It is a small hill station, but there are few important spots that you should not miss such as Ana Shakti Ashram, Lakshmi Ashram, Sumitra Nandan Pant Museum, etc. Few big temples like Baijnath Temple, Bageshwar temple, and Someshwar temple are few holy spots of the town. Few nearby tourism destinations that you can enjoy once you reach Kausani are Ranikhet, Tea Estate, Rudrahari Hills, Observatory and few valleys.
