Huge idol of God Shiva is placed in the ground floor of temple. The 10th century temple of Lord Shiva is located at Kera. Purneshwar is another holy place closer to Gandhidham.


Attraction of Gandhidham:
Akshardham: A well known Jain temple Akshardham is best place to visit in town. The other name of Akshardham is Swaminarayan Temple located in Gandhinagar. However, the town Gandhinagar is quite far from Gandhidham but you can get the bus or private vehicle to reach the spot. The temple is dedicated to Saint Swaminarayan who was the founder of Swaminarayan Sanstha. You will find the Akshardham temple at many other cities of nation, though Gujarat is the state housing biggest Akshardham temple of India.


SCPLDT (Shri Chandra Prabh Labdhi Dham Teerth): A holy place reachable through NH (National Highway) 8A is other spot comes under Kutch region of Gujarat. It is kind of trust managed by SCPLDT (Shri Chandra Prabh Labdhi Dham Teerth) Trust.

Gandhi Samadhi: Gandhi Samadhi is another location where travelers much reach. It’s a memorial of Mahatma Gandhi.


City is having beautiful beach and there are countless ports available. Gandhidham is completely a commercial place but some major attraction spots makes it first choice for the travelers or beach lovers.

Kandla Port: A business place linked to major nations through sea. You have to take permit to visit the port as it is completely business area.


Jesal-Toral Samadhi: A place at Anjar is another closer tourist attraction of Gandhidham. Anjar town is famous for legendary temples.


Shopping in Gandhidham: 
If you love handicrafts items then reach Kutchi or Kutch Kala circle. It’s a market where you will find the handmade products at reasonable prices. Gujarat is full of handicrafts so you will find ample of items. Get any item as memorable stuff of Gandhidham. Milk Sweet is famous of Gujarat and numerous varieties are available in this section.

Favorite food:
Dabeli: A famous snack item of Gujarat Dabeli available at every eatable shop. However, you will find several south Indian food places such as Chawla Cafe and Circle.

Drink in Gandhidham:
Fruit Juice at Tagore road will relax you from all tiredness. Gujarat is a dry state so no wine or bar shops are accessible in the city. The state gets hot in summer season and fruit juice is only method through which people fulfill their drinking requirements.

Some major spots closer to the town are Mandvi (famous for serene beach located at 74 Kms distance), Bhuj (located at 54 Kms distance) and Dholavira.

Attaining to Gandhidham:
Gandhidham city is properly connected through Rail, Air and Road. Gandhidham Railway Station is having direct trains from various cities of India. NH (national highway) 8A connects the Gandhidham to Mumbai, Delhi and some big cities of India. Bhuj is having domestic airport so travelers can reach their destination through Bhuj.
