Travelers have to cover the only distance of 2 kms from McLeod Ganj city center. Attaining to this place allow visitors to take blessings of Bhagsunath in temple located at only 0.5 km distance.

Dal Lake: next is Dal Lake only 2 kms away from local market. The scenic attractiveness and chilly ambience of Dal Lake makes it special place. Altitude of Dal Lake is 1775 meters situated at road vehicular among McLeod Ganj and Naddi village.

Hanuman-Ka-Tibba: another destination is Hanuman-Ka-Tibba which is big worship place for local people. Visitors love trekking and thrill in journey must visit the Hanuman-Ka-Tibba.

Triund: next in list is Triund which is the peak of Dhauladhar ranges. Famous spot positioned at only 9 kms distance from McLeod Ganj, though some areas require trekking to reach the peak Triund. View of Moon crest-Indera Pass is possible from this point.

Tsuglagkhang Shrine: a temple located in south direction of McLeod Ganj is next religious spot.

More attractive places in McLeod Ganj are Namgyal Monastery, Tibet Museum, and trekking centers. Trekking in Himalaya ranges is always dangerous but most exciting feature of life. Voyagers can try the trekking feature at McLeod Ganj.

Attaining to McLeod Ganj:
From Chandigarh the destination is 275 kms away, from Delhi its 522 kms, from Indore its 1332 kms, from Bangalore it is 2708 kms, and Dharamshala 5 kms.

By Train: two meter gauge railway station known as Nagrota and Kangra are available to reach McLeod Ganj. The big station close to place is Pathankot located at only distance of 90 kms. Trains for Pathankot from big Indian cities are available. To reach Pathankot tourist can get the trains from Ahmedabad, Bhatinda, DelhiJammu, Dehradun, Rourkela, Tatanagar Jn, Udhampur, Hoshiarpur and some other metropolis of India.

By Air: close air hub for McLeod Ganj is Gaggal formally known as Dharamshala airport. Only 10 kms far from City of McLeod Ganj. Domestic flights from Delhi and Kullu are available frequently.

By Bus: bus to McLeod Ganj is available from Delhi which is quite far with 522 kms. Himachal tourism is having local bus services as well from Pathankot, Hoshiarpur and few other cities of state.

Vaishno Devi
