The famous but small Indian tourist place Arki is our next destination. It is the town comes under Shimla region of HP (Himachal Pradesh). Earlier it was the capital of Baghal state. Arki hill station is close to Shimla and once you reach Shimla you can easily attain to Arki as well. The distance between Arki and Shimla is just 52 Kms. Sightseeing is important thing during journey as the HP is almost a hill state and beautiful mounts are making the place special for visitors. Tourist attraction in Arki
Arki Fort: first place to visit in town is fort constructed by King Prithvi Singh. This fort carries the bloodshed and struggle period of the ruler Prithvi Singh, Baghai rulers and British Empire. The fort was under control of Gurkhas till 1815. Presently the fort is converted to heritage hotel so you can go for accommodation in the fort and take pleasure of royal life style. 


Arki Palace: the citadel made of wood is next spot for voyagers. Arki palace is popular for beautiful frescos made of Arki Kalam technique. The splendid structural design of Arki palace attracts the travelers. Intricately made motifs and roofs states the themes and style of palace construction at that time. 


Diwan-i-Khas: a spot that is related to Muslim community is available for you. Diwan-i-Khas is also known as Audience Hall constructed by Raja Ram Singh. He was the great supporter of arts than other Arki rulers. 

Bhadrakali Temple: An oldest shrine of city constructed in 1650 is next stop. Bhadrakali shrine shows exceptional carvings and astonishing architectural work. This temple is built in Shikhara style and it’s another name is Jakholi Devi Shrine. 



Durga Temple: one of the familiar temples of Arki is Durga shrine located in parallel direction of Luturu temple. This shrine offers perfect refreshment to people who are in need of peacefulness. This temple of Arki is dedicated to Goddess Durga. 


Some more attractive shrines of Arki hill station are Jakholi Temple, Laxminarayan Temple, Luturu Mahadev Temple, and Shakhni Mahadev Temple. Shakhni shrine is a cave temple that is different in looks.

Some big cities are having link to reach Arki like Chandigarh is only 87 km away, Manali are just 138 km away, Delhi is 323 km distant, Kolkata is 1813 km far and Shimla is only 41 km distant from Arki. 

By Train: nearest big railway station to reach Arki is Kalka that is located only 73 km distance. Private taxies are available from Kalka station for Arki, though the charges will be approximately Rs 900. Kalka station is linked to many big cities of India like DelhiKolkata and some more. 

By Air: closest airport for Arki is Jubbarhatti located at only distance of 40 km. However, it’s domestic airport and flights from ChandigarhDelhi and some other cities of India. 

By Bus: state buses are available for Arki, though the hill area is little congested, but very much excited. Visitors can get the buses from Delhi to Dharampur at frequent level. Dharampur stop is only 30 km far from Arki town. Private taxies can be taken from the Dharampur to reach Arki. However, the face of each taxi will be around Rs 600.
